The DigiSnap Pro supports the popular, yet non-standard, passive PoE on its ethernet port for battery charging. It accepts the same voltage range as the dedicated charger port, 17-30 VDC. Pins 4 and 5 are positive, 7 and 8 negative. This is compatible with our passive PoE injector and many others on the market.
It is possible to supply power to the DigiSnap Pro's charger from a standard 802.3af or 802.3at PoE switch by using an adapter such as the Ubiquiti Instant 802.3af converter (INS-8023AF).
